Is nicotine an appetite suppressant?

I’ve been exercising and on a healthy diet for a while now and i just recently decided to stop chewing tobacco. Since I quit I have been more hungry and keep screwing up my diet. I was just wondering if nicotine is an appetite suppressant and if so, is there anything that can help fight cravings?

it’s not an appetite suppressant lol…the thing is is that it’s addicting so your body is trying to find another way to feed it’s addiction so to speak. It shouldn’t take too long to fix your bodies feelings, you just have to retrain, eat like normal and I know it may be hard, but this is what you have to do. If you feel hungry and you know you shouldn’t eat drink some water, it can make you feel fuller

Are you really hungry or are you just missing having something in your mouth? I used to do that when I quit smoking. I destroyed the caps to my poor pens. However, I still eat, of course. It’s a matter of WHAT I eat. I just started to switch real food for junk food. Four years after I quit smoking I weigh maybe 15 pounds less than what I did when I smoked.

    If anything, try some gum.

Yes it is. Most people who quit smoking gain weight afterwards.

YOu might just have an oral fixation. Try chewing on gum, beef jerkey, or anything else chewy. Oatmeal should make you full fastewr without a hell of a lot of calories too

No, your body just processes food better and things taste a lot better without the nicotine
